At the PHD Rural Development Foundation (PHDRDF), we are on a mission to empower the underprivileged and marginalized communities across India. Established in 1981 under the aegis of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), we have dedicated over four decades to fostering social and economic upliftment through innovative projects and programs.

It is with a deep sense of purpose that I share the vision and journey of the PHD Rural Development Foundation (PHDRDF), the social development arm of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. PHDRDF was established to advance inclusive, sustainable, and community-led development across India’s rural and underserved regions, guided by the belief that meaningful change begins at the grassroots.
Our work spans critical sectors including agriculture and livelihoods, water conservation, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and skill development. Each intervention is rooted in local realities and designed to build long-term resilience. We remain committed to development that is equitable, environmentally responsible, and centred on strengthening community capacities for lasting impact.
Strong partnerships with corporates, government institutions, and civil society organizations enable us to respond effectively to complex rural challenges through shared accountability and innovation.
